My dad gave me this camera when I was in grade school because he saw how much I liked taking pictures. It's been CLA'd twice in the past 20 years. Once, before I purchased it, and once when it fell into the bay while I was shooting.

This is my favorite 35mm camera. It takes the Canon FD and FL mounts, which are quite obsolete.

The only automation present is a TTL match-needle exposure meter. Otherwise, the camera is completely mechanical and stripped of features. The shutter tops out at 1/500 and the flash sync is only 1/60, which is fairly limited but has never really bothered me. The winding is manual, double exposures are impossible, there's no timer or anything. It does have a depth-of-field preview lever. And the meter is unable to handle fairly dark situations.

Nonetheless, it always works, without fail.
