A group of us were wandering around San Francisco. We all took pictures of the tree. They all came out differently.

First thing I did was get right up in the tree. I would have used my 17mm lens, but I didn't have it and wanted to save the last 3 shots on the roll for the Painted Ladies. So I got up and used the G7's lens at the widest (which is about 35mm-e in real camera terms) and moved around till I saw an angle that works.

Oh, and I used flash, like the crazy weirdo I am. But the flash exposure compensation was -1 2/3 so it really doesn't rule the light here.
