We're in the minority, Ken. Most people like quick release heads, at least the manufacturers think so.

I've seen conflicting descriptions regarding quick release on the Giottos MH-5000 head. Your review stating it is not quick release is the tie breaker. Even though it doesn't get your whole hearted endorsement, I going to get one.
