So this was me wandering around after I got done watching a flashmob so I walked around the city to the Transamerica pyramid.

This is actually a zoomed in telephoto shot, not a wide angle shot. It was one of those cases where the best angle was in the middle of the street, so I set up my shot, waited for the light and then took my pic.

And there was some Photoshop touch-up work to get the contrast right. See, I'd exposed it so that the sky wouldn't be blown out and then bumped up the shadows.
